Has anyone ever had any experience buying from http://allegro.pl/ ?

Its a online site just like Ebay but in Poland, converting their prices to Canadian the items are very cheap compared to prices here. Was considering purchasing a few German helmets and refurbishing them for reenactments.

I have a friend (an American) who lives there and is always having good luck! The only issues is that "sometimes" they will price gouge foreigners… This is to say, they perceive westerners to have deep deep pockets!

Like with ebay, now items you buying. Lot's of fakes there too, especially SS. Before bidding, make sure the seller is willing to ship overseas. Many don't. They will sell, but ship only to address in Poland. Other than that, not bad. I found few treasures there. There are also Russian, Czech, Hungarian and other former Eastern block countries versions of that service.
