      Yes, great presentation I agree, I have to visit soon, its not that far away for me !

      But please spare a thought for those poor souls, including women and children who lost their lives through the use of these V-Weapons. London and the South of England took a beating from those things.

          Mate are you a travel agent by day? Boy you get around, All jokes aside; Thanks for the work and time you put in posting your pics of your travels. As mere mortals a lot of us will probably never get to visit the sites you get to.

                  Always remember to right, my mum and gran used to say everyone would stop and wait for the bang, stories they heard from the south what else could one do?

                    Hi Eric

                    They could hear the V1's coming, but not the V2's, nobody heard those, they were supersonic, so they had no warning at all

                    There is a tale that when the V2s were raining down, people were wondering what these huge explosions were that were killing lots of people, the government put out a cover story for a while, to stop panic, that they were gas-line explosions, but the truth soon got out...

                        Thanks to all for your kind comments , Im really glad you enjoyed the photos it was
                        certainly one of the most memorable battlefield trips I have done.

                        Also the civilians lost in those bombings in London Im sure are not forgotten, they are still
                        part of the greatest generation whether they wearing a uniform or not.
