Hey guys,
A continuation of my yearly battlefield trips, this time around it's Normandie and the German defence's of the landing beaches at Omaha beach during WWII, my last trip did not allow me the time to explore this area enough as I would have liked, but this time round I was able to get to see most of it apart from the area's that were on private property.I will start with photo's from the east end of the landing beaches (Fox Green Sector) at WN60 and work across to the west end of Omaha beach towards WN 73 (Charlie/Dog Green sector) and give you a birds eye view of the German fortifications/position on June 6th 1944.
German Position:
WN=Widerstandsnest/German Strongpoint/ Resistance nest.. these area's consist of pill boxes, bunkers, gun
batteries, trenches ect,of the German army positioned at Omaha on June 6 1944.
Also some photo's from the American memorial cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer and the German cemetery at La Cambe, France.
Hope you enjoy the pics....
