I have always been fascinated by the 'Great Escape', no doubt as a result of the iconic (although not always realistic) film which was essential viewing as I was a young lad.

Consequently, I have always taken an interest in anything to do with the event, and have been lucky enough to of met some RAF aircrew who were held at Stalag Luft III.

I remember Frank Stone being interviewed and I found his personal anecdotes extremely interesting.
