Hi Folks,

Wanted to share with you some pictures of the Veteran's Memorial museum in Chehalis, WA...which is off of Highway I-5.

The museum is a nice size...nicely displayed and organized...I'm glad I went on Memorial Day. As I was there, I spoke to WWII vets US Navy WAVES, USMC and US Navy....

I'd recommend a visit if you happen to be in the area.

I love WWII US Navy WAVES items...since my Mom was in the WAVES during WWII.

I'll start with a Purple Heart for a USS Arizona sailor on 7 Dec 1941...WOW..

WWI horse/mule harness/bridle...which I like since my Grandfather was in WWI in the 60th Regiment of the Coastal Artillery Corps and he also was a blacksmith and I have some of the brass eagles

and last picture...a WWII USAAF 15th AF enlisted POW Ike jacket with some German WWII "liberated" items...Luft helmet, Luft EM breast eagle, HG cuff title, pony pack

As stated...this is the last picture. The museum is really nice covers all the periods....with local vet displays, weapons, etc. from 1800's to present (Iraq/Afghanistan) OEF/OIF.
