Was the Tiger knocked out? If it was, how so? Or was it just abandoned?

                  Thanks

                    Tiger

My understanding...abandoned. The crew put it out of action before leaving it.

Pity that it's outside as it looks to be a prime example for restoration.

                        Mike-

If I remember correctly, I believe I read that the engine blew a piston and so the vehicle was destroyed by the crew before they abandoned it.

Great photos and like so many others I am very excited to see it restored. If at all possible please keep us updated on the status of the restoration.

Oh if they would just put up a bypass and go after the other buried under the road. My understanding is the interior is completely stripped with not even deck plating left.

Here is Hubert Meyer Chief of Staff for the Hitlerjugend with I believe, Herbert Walther visiting the Vimoutiers Tiger
