    Normandy June 2013

    Fellas

I'm off to Normandy this June with a few buddies.

To make things interesting we're each taking responsibility to put together a mini tour lasting a few hours or so - nothing fancy, just a few print outs, maybe some interesting things to point out, then and now shots etc.

Does anyone know of a good website that has this kind of thing ready made? I guess there must be something but I can't see it.

    Cheers

    Chris

      Thanks Eric, I saw that.

Apologies I didn't explain myself very well.

I'm looking for a website that provides a ready-to-go walk through guide of different areas of the battlefield - with maps, then and now photos and things to look out for.

I guess like a kind of guidebook, but online.

I will be going to Normandy again this years with my BMW R75 as I have been doing for many years .It's always a super trip , there are some super camp sites between Vierville and Port-en-Bessin . All we need now is sunshine in June !!

There's a book called "Walking D-day" which has a specific walk for each beach sector and landig area. I have it and it's very good, wish I had it before my visit to normandy!

Thanks for all the ideas etc.

I've decided to do a mini tour on the Merville Battery assault.

I'll try and get some good photos and will report back on how it goes.

If anyone else is interested in this battle, this is the book I've decided to use as a basis for the tour.

              Best

              Chris
