aging tips for repro crushers.

Anyone have a tip to remove the shiny black finish on a vulcanized front bill on a Janke Shirmmütz ? uses sandpaper to dull the finish abit? I've removed the padding and center peak stiffer, and reshaped the hat.

Hi Jeff,personally I'd leave it as is and just wear it .A true crusher has a leather peak which has a semi matt finish to it,if you take sand paper to it I think you will ruin it.John
