Hi,
Yesterday I went to the local Rememberance Sunday service in Newcastle-on- Tyne.
When I returned to my home. I watched the BBC TV coverage of the Memorial Service in London. attended by the Queen.
A quite cold day, (round about freezing) attended by many WW2 Veterans.
The Memorial Service in London is the great "Thank You" to the veterans and is a very emotional day for the UK.
I wonder (please pardon my ignorance here) if any other countries have a memorial service for soldiers on the Armistace of WW1?
The ekeventh hour, of the eleventh day, 1918.
Bless them all!
Best wishes,
John
