Best living history project I have ever seen

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...e-Tommies.html

This guy built a WWI trench and dugout in his back yard. The site he created is incredible. What a project!

    Digging in dirt..

Amazing, I guess his wife doesn't mind this sort of mid life crisis. The only difference between a man and a boy is the size of their voids "as in holes they dig". After this WWI educational tour is over he can always turn it into a WWII themed one. Or this is how you build a regimentally sized latrine.

Listened to a Radio program about this. Big discussion on the incorrect use of sandbags, apparently placed the wrong way round and incorrectly filled, then matters of Health and Safety. Always someone comes out of the woodwork to p..s on the parade!

          Hi,

This gentleman was a part of the "No man's land" team on the History Channel series "Finding The Fallen" This was a show which ran over six one hour long episodes.
A great show, which educated me about WW1, but he seems to have taken it too far!
My wife would murder me if I dug a WW1 trench through my garden!
Would like to do it though,

          Gest wishes,
          John
