Having visited this Memorial on several occasions I had often wondered about the construction of it and the Dedication ceremony that took place on the 27th September 1952. Calling in at the nearby superb Commando Exhibition at the Spean Bridge Hotel I found the answers in an Album, full credit for the black & white images to the Museum. There are quite a lot of images that show its progression and construction. The location of the Memorial, set in the Wartime Training area of the Commandos, is stunning and the whole area well worth exploring. Regards, Clive.
