Well ironically, she did provide Motherly instincts, an act justified by both herself and the Soldier.

            Nice article!!!

How very sad that the young German soldier's mother died during the war, leaving him motherless. The women's suffering during the war and their heroism such as displayed by the British nurse and the killed German mother should always be honoured and never ever forgotten. Never again!!

A very moving and poignant story. I wonder if that young German soldier suvived the war and is still alive today. How absolutely wonderful if they could meet once more.

Very somber piece on the fellowship of non and combatants. Makes you think a little bit more
about an award that has been taking for granted and considered usual in a collectors mind,
                        The Mothers Cross.
                        Thanks for the clip.

                          Hi,

Excellent story, and very poignant - makes me wonder why politicians create war in the first place!
Ordinary people have to fight. whildt those who decide to declare war hide away in bunkers!

                          Best wishes,

                          John.
