Another one I missed this year
Best reenacting pictures I've seen in a while, no doubt...
The ones with the fog are simply amazing
Next year try to take some black and white pictures with an original period camera...or maybe I should bring mine
Many thanks for posting the pictures Bruno and Patrick

Thank you very much for these comments, and Patrick to have shared here PE2012 pictures. The concept of PE is first focused about doing a mountain trip in period condition, then it is about pre-war gebirgsjäger impression. Somehow, it is first a sportive events and then an reenactment one. It is my way, our way to pay an honor to these men by doing a true experience.

New challenges are waiting for us... higher & better !

          Superb photographs,

I have done a fair bit of climbing in the Alps since the 1980's and can remember finding some of the wooden wedges deep in cracks that were used as protection in this era. I would be interested in hearing what reactions you had from fello Alpinists you met during the climb.

          Regards

          Robin

            I second that opinion.

Thank you very much for bumping this thread - I never saw it in 2012! It looks absolutely superb, the scenery, the uniforms, the mountaineering expertise using period equipment - epic! Much of it could pass for original footage

Still the best re enacting photos I've seen in years.

Must be time for another ascent?
