Visiting Brecourt Mannor

Hello everybody, I'll be visiting normandy for the first time in July. Among the places to see is of course Brecourt Mannor, site of the famous assault by E company men. Does anybody know if it is possible to walk around the field and hedges where the battle took place or is it private property and therefore out of limits?

I have been there. Its private property but its not a great offence when walking around.....

The place is very special.

For me it is a very special place to visit and pay my respects to the fallen of Easy company (my avatar is me stood by the memorial) A very moving place to visit and virtually unchanged since the war, highly recommended

That should be plenty of time. Since the small memorial was put up, the Brecourt Manor turnoff is a fairly popular stop for specialized tour groups. It's not a rare sight to see a very large bus pull into the narrow lane, park, and disgorge its occupants. Since the actual battlefield is on private property, you will be very much dependent on the kindness and good graces of its owners...
