battle of Gheel, Geel liberation sept 1944

it is about the many storys about the war i did hear since i was a kid. thazt i did start collect military items, in My hometown Geel were many fights in the liberationdays september 1944. i did collect many pictures about them in years, the most published in local papers and some books about those days, it is time to post them here.
first are some pictures, the person who took those pictures did live on the market place in Geel, from his window upstairs he took many pictures of germans on the run, in all kind of vehicles, here are some of them

the pictures of the germans on the run are taken september 4 1944, a copple days before the fights did start on the Albert chanel

on september 8 the fights on the albert chanel did start, the next pictures are results of this

aginst sept 12 the first vehicles came over the albert chanel near Geel- Punt

the ss marks in white paint on the church, if you see the close up, a soldier painted over it, "fear this no more"

this tank was shot by a paratrooper by using a panzerfaust,
this is exact the place were al the pictures are taken from the running germans
