I have just found some info on the guns. The two largest are 381mm with a range of 35km,firing a round weighing 900kg!

The smaller are 152mm with a range of 21km.
Full info available on a site i have found www.mazarron.com/Leisure/Artillery/index.htm

Still trying to find out if there is any truth in the rumour of German forces operating the guns.

All the same hope you find the pictures of interest,
        Cheers,Lynton.

Those guns are in such very nice condition (grafitti to the contrary) that I wonder how recently they were in use... and how quickly they could be used again!

Typical "security"-- weld the MAIN doors shut... but leave the side "doors" open!

              Rick -

As I always tell my wife when she rolls her eyes when I try to get into football stadiums for a peek around, they ALWAYS leave one door or gate open - you just need to find it!
