    The photo you see in Pierre's newspaper collection is © Marc Paygnard as are many of the images used. This particular scene is one of the shots taken one after another by Paygnard and is of one movement of Peiper during the interview.
    Peiper was 'hot' news in the press of serveral countries the days after he was murdered. The prominent paper Bild published a small article which read 'SS-Colonel blown-up'!

      Interesting, the article tells about "explosion" - probably one of the very first reactions, when the exact details were not yet clear.

          What remains of his house today, 2012?

          I'm planning a trip to there and want to know if his house is still there!
          I know it will be only ruins.
