    It would be great if you could go on an organised tour behind the scenes, they said they do these inside and out but very infrequently. On a normal day you leave alittle sad as you are wanting to see much more about the Bunker, not just about general WW2 as most of the museum is showing

        G'Day Mike, Thanks for your time posting these photos , again it is something that a lot of us will never get around to seeing. One question... The "new' diggings, where they unfinished tunnels or tunnels that where damaged during fighting?

          i dont know Steve, there was very little info there on the Bunker itself, it was sealed after the war and reopened in the 90's i think, theres more info on the wikipedia page if you have a google

            Thanks Evilmike, Shall do. It is a shame that the powers that be , go to the trouble of up keep for the tunnels and then negilect to "put" out the information about them

              Steve the tunnels were orderd blow by Churchill after the war incase they were used by the Russians in the event of another war. Pete.
