    Reproduction KC

I recently purchased a repro Knight's Cross. To say I am disappointed might be something of an understatement. The last one I had came from WW2 Products, LTD. back in the day. That cross itself was, IIRC, heavy and had the silver plate which got darker over time....the beading was also not covered with paint from the core (Of course, it was just a one piece...ummm...piece). This new one? Hmmmmmmm....well it is kind of the exact opposite. Although the WW2 might have been made from pot metal, it did not seem to bend....this new one was kind of like butter...seriously. Interesting.

My question: Does anyone know of a vendor who sells RKs which do not bend in the wind, have a good weight, size, etc.? I am addressing this to people who have bought them, not just from info gained on sites ("Our crosses are great!").
I am talking about the single strikes here, not the three piece versions...I just want a good, solid representative piece.

Well, first question would be what's your budget?
While I find it strange people would pay very much for a fake cross, they do.
If you want one for $12 ... you likely get what you got.
If you are willing to spend $100-200 you might find some really decent fakes on the bazaar e-stand.

Right, Darrell...I mean, I have seen repro crosses out there for close to $700...a lot of money!! And still, it is, in the end, a repro...I am just curious about the market in the under $100 range...Are they ALL bendable pot medal these days? The one I got back in the day was $18, which is like $50 these days...So is a $50 KC in 2011 going to be an absolute piece of junk, or....???? Where are these things made anyway??? Are there a number of factories churning them out, or...??? I wonder where that WW2 Products cross came from....

Heck you can get the repros anywhere. The cheapie 1 piece POS like you mention can be had almost anywhere. e-bay is full of them.

The more expensive 3 piece ones that could pass as "decent" RK's (I assume the type you are looking for) won't be had for the less than a few hundred I'm afraid.
