I recently purchased a repro Knight's Cross. To say I am disappointed might be something of an understatement. The last one I had came from WW2 Products, LTD. back in the day. That cross itself was, IIRC, heavy and had the silver plate which got darker over time....the beading was also not covered with paint from the core (Of course, it was just a one piece...ummm...piece). This new one? Hmmmmmmm....well it is kind of the exact opposite. Although the WW2 might have been made from pot metal, it did not seem to bend....this new one was kind of like butter...seriously. Interesting.
My question: Does anyone know of a vendor who sells RKs which do not bend in the wind, have a good weight, size, etc.? I am addressing this to people who have bought them, not just from info gained on sites ("Our crosses are great!").
I am talking about the single strikes here, not the three piece versions...I just want a good, solid representative piece.
