my vacation to London - any recommandations?

    Hi,

this year i am going to London. Can anybody tell me what do i have to see there (like museums) and especially military stores there?

    thanks in advance

For museums in London it is probably easier just to do a Google search as there are alot suiting all different areas of interest. Military wise you have the Imperial War Museum, RAF Hendon, HMS Belfast, Cabinet War Rooms, Royal Artillery Museum, National Maritime Museum, Tower Of London, National Army Museum and probably others that have slipped my mind.
Then an hour or so to the north of London you have IWM Duxford, and an hour or so to the south of London you have the D-Day Museum, HMS Warrior, HMS Victory and the Historic Dockyard all located at Portsmouth.

EDIT: Found this link from 3 years ago... http://www.armchairgeneral.com/milit...-of-london.htm

      holiday in London

Hi as already noted there is quite a lot around London - for the Royal Artillery Museum I would personally suggest that you check out the Thames Clipper as it docks almost outside the door (timetable is not very frequent though when going as far as woolwich) although the DLR and mainline are not far away.

Not too far outside London is the code breaking centre at Bletchly Park

      Have a great time
