After this, i moved on towards Calais. On the way there i made a stop in Flesquieres, where a british tank from WWI was excavated.
I was very disappointed that i could not actually see it, because it is hidden in a barn (my museum guidebook did not mention this ).
However, here's a picture of the barn..Attached Files

Here's the Batterie Todt.
It was originally designed as a long-range artillery support unit for the invasion of England (operation seelion). After the battle of Britain, it was used for defence only. Its biggest effort was the support of the channel crossing of the ships Scharnhorst, Gneisenau and Prinz Eugen 12 february 1942.Attached Files
