ATFs are ok, but for a very high quality reproduction with a good fit and quality insignia, I cannot recommend the guys at GD43 enough. I now have 4 different caps from them and have given several of theirs as gifts - they do outstanding work.

interesting maker-thanks for the link...
i have a question---they make m42 repros...and here is one....can anyone say if the size and proportions of it seem right or not compared to a real m42? sadly this is the only pic they have on the site-more pics of their caps would be a perfect basis for a purchase-this one doesnt show side vent holes...but i think the originals had them...right?

I wrote to GD43 a while ago about ordering a M43 cap but didn't get any answer. Maybe I should try again...
