Mike - Thanks for taking the time to post your thread with all the photos. I very much appreciate you showing your trip and the different sites you visited.
I found the planes and other items at the Polish museum interesting but all in poor shape due to weathering.Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Yes they could have done with a clean, plenty of algae growing on them but the Polish Aviation Museum was quite interesting (google the website), and free on a Tuesday and only a few minutes on the tram in Krakow, as i found throughout our trip it was very easy to get around and well worth the effort! Certainly for EU visitors getting to Poland and then the hotels were very reasonable! really no excuse to visit!!!

Awesome Mike! I was there last Sept. and had a blast in Krakow. After I visited Schindler's factory I didn't know if I should ask for a taxi or rent a horse from the local peasants. That place is in the middle of nowhere!
I personally was impressed with Birkenau as it was MUCH larger than I had envisioned.
Foodwise, I bet you're all perogied out.

I visited Schindler's factory back in 2005, it was not a museum then, it was an abandoned part of a still functional factory.
Seeing your photos from the museum that they have made, i will definitely revisit this place next time i'm in Krakow.
Anyway, back in 2005 a guard was willing to let us in (we did not even have to pay him) and allowed us to wander around on our own. It was impressive.
I took these pictures.
