Next 23rd April will be the presentation of a the Documentary, "Entre dos Frentes" (Between two fronts) about the use, during the Spanish Civil War, of the Aerodrome of La Cenia near the town of the same name. Firstly used by the Republicans who cut thousands olivetrees for the landing strip and built up the command post, now being restored as Museum, also held later one of the main Legion Condor base for the Ebro battle and the final conquest of Catalonia. The DVD gather the testimonials of town's people some Republican airmen and even the former JG5 Geschwaderkommodore Gunther Scholz (now in his 100)
who scored some victories in Spain. I am afraid the DVD is edited in Spanish but the part of Herr Scholz obviously is
in german
