Oahu WWII off the beaten path sites....

Just got home from a phenominal research trip to Oahu to visit the WWII sites. Visited many sites including Hickam and Wheeler Fields. Lots of battle damage still intact. Remants of the USS Arizona that were removed and the mast of Oklahoma are rusting near Waipio Pt. Very sad. Efforts to bring the wreckage to be displayed have failed do to the poor condition the wreckage is in. Shot-up hangars are accessible to the public on Ford Island and I recommend a visit to the Pacific Aviation Museum. The Arizona museum has been completely redone last month and is beautiful. Wish I knew how to post pictures as I got some good ones...Anyway, I recommend a visit to Oahu for those not afraid to dive into some WWII history!
