    Rommel Newspaper Investigation from 1969

    Hello,
I am going through my boxes of newspaper clippings. These clippings were either obtained by me or from family members over the years. My mother and grandmother clipped many of them.

Here is an interesting article from October 29, 1969 on Rommel's death. There was a photo of Rommel's grave in the envelope with it and it is dated on the reverse July 1954.

    I found it interesting.

    Regards,
    Jody

What the.. is that just some random memorial or his actual grave?
I thought his body was missing?
Great photo though, never saw that cross before!
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

        Hello,
That is his grave. You can see where they removed the swastika from the large EK and from the RK.

Someone have taken the photo and gave a copy of the picture to my grandmother (on the back of the photo is written in pencil-Rommel grave July 1954) and she kept it with the newspaper clipping.

My grandmother was in the antique business and was one of the ones who helped get me into collecting 3rd Reich stuff.

        Regards,
        Jody
