The state museum of defense of Moscow is based in 1972 in memory of a feat of defenders of Moscow and the Moscow fight.
Fight for Moscow (on September, 30th 1941 — on April, 20th 1942) — operations of the Soviet and German armies on the Moscow direction. Shares for 2 periods: defensive (on September, 30th - on December, 4th 1941) and offensive which consists of 2 stages: counterattacks (on December, 5-6th 1941 — on January, 7-8th 1942) and the general approach of the Soviet armies (on January, 7-10th - on April, 20th 1942).
The Moscow fight - the largest fight of the Great Patriotic War and all Second World War. Adolf Hitler considered a capture of Moscow, capital USSR and the biggest Soviet city, as one of the main military men and political ends of operation Barbarossa. In the German and western military history Operation the Typhoon »is known as«.
The museum exposition is placed in 7 halls to which 4000 original certificates of grandiose fight for Moscow are presented. Before a museum anti-tank hedgehogs, guns, the howitzers, well-known "Katyusha" are established. Guns in an easy approach. It is possible to clamber and be photographed.
Excursion cost (in English) 1 or more person 110 euros.
Unfortunately to photograph exhibits in a museum it is forbidden.
