While on the island of Gilli Terwangan, Indonesia I came across a Japanese cave that was used to house an artillery gun in WWII.

Here's a photo of a plague at a former POW camp commemorating those that died there and on the death marches in 1945. The second photo is of some of the camp that still remains.

Next are a few photos from some of the WWII wrecks that I dived. The first is at Subic bay in the Philippines. The 6 inch gun is from the USS New York and the ramp of a landing craft.

The first photo is an entrance on a landing craft tank and the second is a photo of the wreckage of the USAT Liberty that was torpedoed off Bali in Indonesia.

Next is a photo of the 'Bridge on the River Kwai" made famous by David Lean's 1957 film. The bridge stands in the town of Kanchanaburi, Thailand. The second photo shows hell fire pass which is about 45 minutes away from the bridge and along this section the POW's had to cut through solid rock.

Next the Chungkai war cemetery just outside Kanchanaburi. Here is the grave a soldier from my village in the UK who is remembered on the Cheadle war memorial, UK.

Next to Australia. The first are from a gun emplacement on Magnetic Island in Queensland. I couldnt get into the control bunker as it was blocked off due to safety reasons.

Next are a few photos of the 9.2 inch guns that are situated on Oliver Hill, Rottnest Island, Western Australia. On this island there are numerous former military installations including, bunkers, barrocks and a light railway.
