        Bunkers

Sad to see the condition of the bunkers in the picture, but thanks for posting it. Where are these bunkers at? Do you have a photo of what they looked like during the war?

If my eyes do not fool me (and my mind too) these are the bunkers at Lökken, a small town in the north of Danmark. The bunkers ones belonged to the12,7 cm Marineküstenbatterie "Nord".

More on the special setup (some buildings are unique in this special combination) you`ll find here: http://de.atlantikwall-denmark.net/p...b-loekken.html

Its a really impressing facility - I visited it last summer and spent some hours moving around every bunker/device...
To be true: the whole coast is very interesting (not only for the bunkers ). Some km to the north there are the remains of Funkmessstelle Hyäne with some houses still high above in the coastline and some allready on the beach, not to forget the Museum at Hanstholm ca. 50 km south with the remains of the southern 38 cm emplacement which once should block the entrance to the baltic sea .... (this post could be x times longer to tell all the points of interest ...)

To keep it short: visit danmark !
