Hello all,
I have a strange question that has boggled me for a long time. During the Normandy invasion, Paratroopers were ORDERED to take a "motion sickness" tablet(s)
In all accounts, The so called "motion sickness" tablets had a narcotic effect and left many of the troops feeling "buzzed"
Donald R. Burgett touches on this issue in his book Currahee.
Does anyone know anything about this? What was the drug that was administered and was it really for motion sickness or was it meant to keep the troopers anxiety level down?
Im curious to know!
Thanks in advance, great forum!
Dave
