Lucky indeed Muenster. Did you ever hear any stories about the german POWs in the Rheinwiesenlager? Pretty sad. Is anyone doing anything to commemorate Dresden this February 14/15th over there? It doesn't get much air time over here. Cheers, Chris B.

No chris. I have read a lot about these outdoor camps....Iam going to look up the one you mentioned, because these camps are the best areas to metal detect in. I have heard enough stories from my grandfather about the russian camps,,really bad stuff .

      Cheers,

        Hi Mark,

thank you for share this photo. Very impressiv photo ! Why?

I know this photo and its history. It is a very important photo, because it shows that Allied forces and their chefs KNEW about lagers and what the did inside ( burn people ! ), but they secret this photo and all for all the war time!

An italian jewish, named Venezia, again alive, he was in "sonderkommando" group ( prisoners who were assigned to burn's cell ) and recognised exactly in this photo the place where burned people too. In fact, where we can see the smoke come up, there was a "pool" and inside burn people because was not enough the furnaces inside the brick house.

Has anyone looked at that site lately? They have a few photos up now. I think this one is one of the more interesting.
