      Much better than the reenactments done in color. The color film used in WWII gave a much more washed out effect than the color video of today. Black & white is a better way to go.

          From filming, editing & sound perspective and using period type filming gear..i have to say this is very well done !!

            One of the things that gives it that realism is the speed. If you notice the speed that people walk/movie it gives it that period film look. The only part I didn't like was the super smoking mg. Those blank guns that are used for reenacting smoke like crazy and it ruins it for me, at least as far as realism goes (smoke billowing out all over etc).

                      It smoked like that because the gunner had just oiled the mechanism, and the heat from shooting made the oil evaporate somewhat.
