Battle of the Bulge 16 december 2009

Hi Guys,

On the 16th of december we remember the Battle of the Bulge. Like previous years I am going to Bastogne again and would like to know if anybody on WAF is going. Perhaps we can meet up and anjoy the enviroment of the Ardennes.

Hi Bob,

Have a great time. I will be involved in running a rally for WWII MV's starting from the Baugnez Crossroads museum (Malmedy). We will be following the route of Kampfgruppe Peiper from Losheimergraben to Stoumont/Chevron/Targnon on the 12th and 13th.

Exactly, I was also scratching my head when I saw the date as most of the festivities around Bastogne are on the weekend of 12 and 13 december.

Yes I know most of the activities are in the weekend of the 12th. But nevertheless the battle started the 16th. I will not go there for any festivities but for remembering history.

No offense ment off course to the people who will go there in the weekend.

I know there is a nice remembrance ceromony on the 16th with ceveral belgium veterans.

(The town thats right under Bastonge, not the one far away).
