            it was indeed a somber day, cloudy with rain etc....

            I especially like the picture in which SS knight cross holder Eberhard Heder (Wiking) is looking / bending at a gravestone.

                  Absolutely amazing, helps to put things in perspective when you see a human face. I have 2 surviving homefront vets and 1 combat vet in the family, and their experiences are riveting and beyond words...but KC holders...
