Anyone been an escorted Battlefields tour of Russia?

Friends,

I was looking at escorted trips to Russian battlefields, such as Kursk, Stalingrad etc. A quick "google" brought up a couple similar to what is shown here:

Has anyone has been on something similar? if so what were your opinions? are there any you tours\companies you would recommend or that I should avoid?

I was going to go with this outfit in October of 2001 (passports and visas ready to go), but the terrorist attacks led my mates to cancel and it was postponed indefinitely.

Never been, but I was prepared to do a stint in Russia with Igor (spin777). He is a very reasonable and helpful guy - I'd go with him.

I've been to Stalingrad at least 5 times for a month each. I know some people there who would take you on tours and show you around and to all the places you would ever want to see. It is not a "company" but you would save big money and they are reputable. If you would like more information just ask. Thanks!
