      Marco,

I love your "Then & Now" series on cassino. Hopefully I can find you more photos of Cassino where you can possibly use them in your great threads. I too have the book on the Battle of the Bulge Then & Now and have used it with great success on finding relics of the battle in Belgium and Luxembourg. Hopefully sometime I can make down to Sunny Italy. Ciao Bill

Nice pics Marco, i love your then and now stories also

I want to direct the attention of the members here to the story of Gren. Ludwig Schwartz on Marcos webpage. I that case Marco helped me to find the grave of Ludwig after 60years. Mr.Schwartz is the grandfather of my colleague. Sadly his Grandmother died 2 years ago We cannot say enough thank you for what he did

As i could see in the thread a lot of members will visit Cassino. My colleague and i will also come to Cassino to visit the grave, maybe its possible to have a small WAF members meeting in Cassino
PS: I will bring my tropical FJ Tunic

          Grüsse
          Herbert

            Hi Herbert
To help you to find this soldier and rebuild his story has been for me beautiful and full of emotions. Often is happened to go to take pictures of graves of died German soldiers in Cassino, but for Grenadier Ludwig Schwartz I have been able to see where it has carried after wound, the place where it has been buried before being carried to Cassino German Cemetary. Believe me... has been a lot emotional and I'm very happy for making this search. Unfortunately my not perfect English does not allow me to express all the emotions that I have tried.

A WAF member meeting in Cassino? Wow...what a big idea!
            Cheers
            Marco.
