great new program on the history channel

there's a great new program on the history channel here in Oz, it's called "apocalypse - second world war" has anybody seen it?

It is mostly in colour but actually tons of rare footage by hand held amateur cameramen who were at the front. It gives you a real sense of what it was like to be there.

Well worth checking out, as I have not seen anything (and I have seen a LOT) of documentaries like it.

and I've just realized my spelling and sentence structure is all over the place in that first post! What the hell is going on? I seem to be getting stupider and more illiterate as time goes on lol

Paul they are top notch aren't they? They have really done their homework, even with the dubbing and sound. They don't just use the same played out samples of the MG42, stuka and marching boots, but they must have actually done some proper studio work! That with the shaky hand held camera effect really gives you a good impression of what it must've been like.

Are the episodes all finished now? When are they on? I want to set my foxtel box to record them all if I still can!

They are also available via torrent for anybody who likes this stuff on file. Managed to get them after reading this post and with the bonus of top notch speeds as well.

Most of it is not colour film but coloured, a lot of well known footage in there too.
