    Baltic Cruise-Highlights

Ive just returned from the Batlic Sea after a 12 day cruise on the Jewel of the Seas. After a sweep of 'Antik' shops in Scandinavia i came across a mass of fakes, some legit pieces, but way over priced, and added a couple of issues of the Danish Signal to my collection.

I took over 1,000 pictures the highlights of which include the Resistance Musuem in Copenhagen, the Suomelina Fortress Island in Helsinki and the Smolnoy Institute and Cruiser Aurora in St.Petersburg. Before i go ahead and post, it will likely be a long task and be spread out over a few days, would the general forumista population be interested in seeing them?

    Regards
    Jonathan

Thanks Ace, go for it. The Baltic lived up to my expectations. Moreso when we visited Peterhof and drove through the German Siege lines to get to it. I was on the Ost Front!

The first lot of pics are from the Resistance Museum in Copenhagen. A free of charge tidy museum just 5 minutes from where the cruise ships dock. Outside you are greeted by an armoured car.

SS sieg rune tattoo preserved in amber. According to the caption by the display it was from an SS Man POW who wanted to distance himself from his past.

Himmler's eye patch. His failed attempt to sneak his way out of the occupied zone disguised as a common soldier.
