      The Tri-State region consists of:

      New York
      New Jersey
      Connecticut

Locations which are in close proximity to NYC.

No, the tri-state area is Southwestern Indiana, Southeastern Illinois, and North-Central Kentucky. Don't you remember Homer VanMetre "The Tri=State Terror" who ran with John Dillinger?

              Hi,

there are many units in the New England/mid-atlantic area. It all depends on what you want to portray. My unit is in New England and we are 4th KO, GR914, 352nd inf. division but I noticed that you wish to do SS. My reccomendations are the following

              http://www.1stlahpzdivision.com/

These guys are in the mid-atlanic area (PA, NJ, MD, NY)

              http://www.ssdeutschland.com/

These guys are in the New England area and i've met some of them. they are good guys. They also put on a nice impression

              http://www.9thsspanzer.com/

This is the 9th SS panzer reenactment group. If you are into vehicles they have a replica tiger tank from saving private ryan, a replica stug from band of brothers and plenty of other vehicles/equipment.

These are only a few groups though

Where ever you want to go, there are plenty of SS units to join. The really rare units are the plain ol' leg infantry units. Everyone doing German wants to be Waffen SS or Fallschirmjager and those doing American want to be Airborne or Rangers, those doing Brit are SAS. This is why most people think that most WW2 reenactors are nuts.

I agree with Denny. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting an "elite" reenactment group.

I third that. Too many SS, Heer cufftitle & plane jumpers out there. Not enough numbered infantry units.

Not to be more confusing then I already have been.... I 'm not interesting in joining any groups. I am interested in finding authentic looking reenactors/units for a film project.
