Wehrmacht BMW 1938 R73 in our Xmas parade today

Just when I thought I'd seen it all..... in our city's Christmas parade today, there was a 1938 BMW R73 with sidecar and an MG15. It was done up in gray paint with WH license placards front and rear. I think there was a Christmas wreath on the front of the side car. What a hoot. I guess they were representing our city's Wehrmacht contingent The driver was wearing a black leather jacket (no insignia). It was driving in front of a Willy's jeep. It ended up being some local military vehicle collectors. I asked the driver of the BMW if he was representing city's Wehrmacht contingent in the parade and he said it was just part of their veteran's salute. I worked with the driver years ago and have displayed at shows with him and his dad so he knows I wasn't being a jerk.

It was rather jaw dropping though just walking along the parade route watching vehicles go by and this WWII WH marked BMW goes putting by. Wasn't expecting that one.

Sorry, forgot to mention, but the MG was a dummy receiver with a parts kit. Still, the whole set up was neat. Wish I owned it.
