Notts and Derby Regt Museum. War Trophies

Hi Guys, here are few pics that I took in Nottingham Castle last week. I went there mainly to photograph Capt. Albert Ball VC items which I have featured in another thread.
The Regt have on display several war trophies taken in both WW1 and WW2. Here are some of the 1st War items. Note the very rare MP18 with snail drum magazine.
    Cheers, Ade.

A seletion of WW2 German items plus a few Regimental exhibits, including a .303 Lee Enfield rifle; the standard British rifle from 1942.

Close up on the star item from the last photo; the MP40 The SS armband is rather nice too! I have known all these exhibits since I was a child. The MP40 used to be in a glass case on it's own. I remember that someone tried to steal it back in the 70's and the glass had been cut with a glass cutter around the gun!
Times have changed the exhibits too, as there used to be a rubber "black jack" kosh taken from Belsen concentration camp on display. This is now no longer to be seen? I think that it should, as after all, it is part of history.
          Cheers, Ade.
