Anyone been there that knows the times and days open and details if you have to book a tour or just show up and groups go up or persons individually.

I was there last Fall . . . it was not what I expected, but still very nice. If you arrive early enough, climb up to it, rather than taking the bus . . . then take the bus back down - this way you will better appeciate the scenery, and find all kinds of nice little "gems" that most of the public never get's to see!

hi i have visited the eagles nest various times and will be returning in the end of july. the tour srarts at the tourist info center across from the bahnhoff.the tour is ok but better to explore yourself.dont forget the bunkers under zum turken as they are worth a look.also if you can buy the book,hitlers alpine retreat by james wilson isbn 1 84415 505 6 as it is good for reference when you visit.
