    Hi
Can anyone lead me to a place in which I may get info on water recovery techniques with magnets?

            Here is the site:
            http://www.supermagnete.de/eng/magne...p=hooks#FTN-63

I bought that FTN-63 model. It is good as you can change yourself the M8 thread hook to M8 thread loop. There seems to be 192pcs available so i think that is enough for you?

whats the methodology behind raising a found 100 kilo object from underwater? these magnets will hold such weight, but how would you lift the booty? and what if your magnet sticks to a large submerged uninteresting feature of the landscape, like a dumped car or anvil...what then? i guess you need several of these super magnets in case you lose some this way, right?

No.I use myself an plastic cover over magnet, which is like 5mm thick and it reduces the pullstrenght of magnet. Also you know that the optimal pullstrenght to magnet is only if it takes to mirrorsmooth iron surface with full of its own surface.Mixed metals have smaller pullstrenght to magnet.

And also notice that 100kg item underwater wont weight same(or require same pullforce to lift),it weights less(about 13% for steel example) under the water even the mass is same than it has on dry land.
