Alrighty, then - moving on... Here are the actual positions of Easy Company in the Bois Jacques. Lots of foxholes and commo trenches, but nothing on the surface that I couold see - very different from Halbe (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ighlight=Halbe) where there was still quite a bit laying about on the ground.

Another - the trees were planted in rows, which made it easier to navigate. I estimated that E Company's positions were about the size of two American football fields total.

These are E Coy positions right up against the Foy-Bizory road. The Germans occupied the forest on the oposite side:

The Germans had forward positions about ten to fifteen yards inside the treeline - this is looking back toward the main German lines from about 20 or thrity yards in from the road:

The beauty of the Ardennes is that you can basically drive the battlefield in a day if you don't stop to visit museums. I have threads on the Panzers in the Achtung Panzer! forum, but here's a few pics. First, the Houfallize Panther:
