mess079,
Thought you might like to see some of my mementos from the 50th Reunion . . . and you may want to share these with some of the Vets - they might find them quite curious as well. I was fortunate enough to make this Reunion back in 1995. I worked on printing many of the materials that were passed out amongst the guests. It was one of the many "treats" in my lifetime that I will always treasure . . .
Have a great time, and give a warm "Hello" to all the attendees for me!

And my last contribution - and probably the best . . .
This is a photo taken by a Kriege with a "Verboten" camera . . . it is the Chief of Security, Oberfeldwebel Hermann Glemnitz. During the Reunion, many fellows attested to the fact that Glemnitz was a very tough but honorable soldier, and they all talked how he was a very favorite guest at many previous Reunion's . . .
What a great photo, indeed!
That's all I have for now . . . hope you have a great time, and will cherish every moment!

Hi N.C. Wyeth!
This is what I call „heart for the past”. I can undarstand what You mean saying that You will always treasure that „treats”. Well, we are obliged to give some attention and pay tribute to those who were fighting and to those who were killed in the war....Even if that tribute is only to visit the places, graves, see the monuments....... and tell the story to those who doesn't know what happened there.....
I hope I can share some impressions with You later. Thank's for the replies, what a great photo of hermann glemnitz!
All the best!
