a friend who has recently moved to warsaw , from dublin, wants to come back and get his car....so hes asked me if ill drive with him from ireland to poland...take our time etc and most importantly, do a tour of battlefields and sites etc...sounds like a cracking plan...first 10 days in sept.....
i was thinking about it in the pub tonight
prob sail from ireland to france...do a bit of of the normandy coast..dunkirk maybe and head into belguim...towards geel...and up into the netherlands and do that road to arnhem.....that in itself is gonna be a trip!...and i never got a chance to visit le cambe cemetery last time i was in that neck of the woods
after that i think we should head into germany...and thats where my thoughts ended
im hoping some of you could point us in the right direction to what to see driving true germany and on into poland......memorials..mouments..cemeterys...could rommels or kurt meyers graves be on our route....portions of the westwall....ye know urself...any interesting places to visit...
anything little would help alot
