Aust, his friends and supporters say no one was harmed and he's not a threat.

that was just shear luck.if the man has done wrong he should stay inside there are no special circumstances no matter who you are

It doesn't list his kills in the story but he does have the requisite 5 victories

Why is it so hard to understand that old people, even old veterans, can be dicks as well?

As Paul Harvey used to say "The rest of the story" isn't being told here but might be interesting. The article said that he wanted to hire someone to burn his former house down as it was now in the possession of his ex-wife. Now if she had been married to him since he came home from WW2 I would say, "Hey, maybe she deserves the house" but if they were recently married and she got his old home place from him in a divorce, I can understand his getting upset.
As Sam Kinison said about domestic abuse "I don't support it but I understand it."

I believe if he is convicted he should do the time reguardless who he is or age. There's an old saying ... If You Do The Crime Then You Do The Time

It could be listed as " attempted justifiable homicide. "
Attempted arson for legally being arse burned.
                      Paybacks are a bitch. Bitch.

Spend 14 missions over World War 2 Japan and then get back to us.
