    BOTB at Ft. Indiantown Gap

Anyone from here going to the Gap this week? Never been there but I am going for the first time. Should have gone before because the Gap is down the road a little ways from me. How is the flea market that is set up?

I have been there several time's, the flea mkt is about six mess halls and a church filled with WW 2 goodies. I was stationed right where the displays will be. Four summer training missions with the 28th Division. There is a battle display around noon Sat. Blank firing rifles machine guns and even a German cannon converted to fire 12 guage blank's. Be sure to take a camera or a movie
cam. German and US barrack's are open to the public. Both German and US re-enactors strolling around and food in the mess halls. I won't be going this year because of the weather fiasco two years ago on that very road. It is a hundred miles from phila.
We were there in Aug. 1950 and were fedralized at that time, due to the Korean war. I was in a 155 outfit, our barrack's were on the other side of the road, right where the red and white water tower is. I think the bulge battle is before Sat. geopop

Thanks. Went the other night. No one was really there. Weather was seriously the worst I had driven in for a long time. However, my son loved seeing the reenactors walking around. If I can make it Sat. I plan on going to see the actual reenacting.

        The gap

The only good day to be there is Sat. Sunday, they are starting to pack up. Weekdays are empty, school, and folks working. The fake battle takes place on Sat. How far is the drive from where you are?

It takes about 20 minutes to get there taking all back roads.
