    Hello folks,
    I can't seem to see any repro gebirgsjager boots online (or talk about in this forum), while all the other German boots seems to get made, so I was wondering if anyone can tell me if they are out there, and if not any ideas as to why? Thanks for your input...

    Salut,
    One can pick up an excellent pair of swiss army ones for next to nothing. They will behave better than any copy will ever do and last for ever.

      Unless you have the foot of a runway model, or Yeti the Swiss boots have pretty much dried up. I have purchased three pairs in Switzerland in the past year or so, and I have not paid less that 80 USD per pair. I wear the most common size 44 (10 UK) and they are bringing high dollar on Ebay. I saw a pair fetch over 200 USD a few months back.

      The cheapest alternative is to buy the post-war Swiss boots with the rubber sole, and convert them with leather soles, and add the proper nails, and cleats. This will still run you in the 100 to 150 range to have it done properly.
