After all that effort they had to make a Sdkfz 250 out of a US half track (just like the holywood films of the 60's !), its the same length as a 251....

Very interesting shots guys. Presumably Big TC was on set to receive the strafing and lose an eye and hand? did he hang out on set at all and swap a few words with you grunts?

The way they cut and blur background images i doubt you will ever see the US tracks converted. it was done too two of them and honestly everything else in the scene overpowers those( tanks).

I rode motorcycles with him for about a min and exchange hello with him. On one day he was watching us work on a DKW that broke and i had my back to him while i fixed it so i didnt even know he was standing behind me. Honestly he was there but didnt really talk with any of us.

All this is very interesting. Maybe Valkiry will be better hen what people seem to be expecting!
Its funny, but somehow, most of those photos just screm "movie set", though I couldnt say why.
I find the guys look a bit old, and are more bulky then WW2 Germans. Also, they are all white. They should have gotten you all to get some serious sun tans before filming.
The tanks look great to me, I would never have guessed they were actualy Shermans!

They actually were having guys very skinny walking around with no shirt and spraying a tan on them for those men who were in the shot. Let me tell you, it looked very real. These pics are just candid stuff, no one is posing or anything.

                      location ?

the photo of the arch with graves above this post, is a recreation of the German gravesite at Fort Capuzzo, so what is it doing in a movie about von Stauffenberg with 10th Panzer in Tunisia ?
They are either shooting a scene about the earlier campaign in Libya (in which 10th Panzer did not partake) or they have totally mixed up the countries which would be a real shame for realism.
Italian arches like this were not found in Tunisia. Tunisia was a French protectorate, not an Italian one.

One thing you will learn in the business of Movies is no matter how correct you are and no matter how much power you have on set, if they want something they are going too do it their way regardless........get my point??

10.Panzer-Div was my Opa's unit. I wish a good DAK film would be made. The stills look great.

To be Honest I still don't see them as being Shermans as Mike had told us in the Krad forum. Sherman hulls are alot taller then the PzKpfw. III s so they had to do alot of cutting or something
